Brad Tate

Brad was born on June 29, 1977 in Decatur, AL, which is a city of about 65,000 in north central Alabama. He has two brothers and one sister, all still abiding in Alabama. Brad is an Alabama fan...Roll Tide!!! He lived in Alabama and graduated from high school in 1996 (Hartselle High School) with an advanced diploma centering on business management. Upon graduation, he attended Alabama State University with emphasis on Business Administration and English.

After leaving Alabama State, Brad met his lovely wife, Christy, and they have been married since February 4, 1998 (Ten years). After marriage, Christy attended college and completed her degree centering on early childhood education. Christy loves to teach Bible classes and enjoys making cards for people as well as scrapbooking. Adding to the family, Jacob was born August 8, 2001. He enjoys playing football and basketball (He is an avid Florida Gator fan... don't ask because I don't know). Later came Carley, and she was born July 3, 2003. She loves to play with her babies, cheer, and play teacher. After the children, another member of the family came along, Gracie, a Malti-Poodle who is full of energy and loves Jacob and Carley. She is the baby and boss of the family, and you will know when you meet her.

Brad worked full-time in the fast food industry after he and Christy were married (McDonald's, Shoney's, Hardee's, Arby's, and Krystal's). While at Krystal's, Brad finalized a master's degree in business administration. While working for Krystal's, he had many responsibilities. Brad managed to work as one of the company's top operations district managers full-time (overseen five restaurants with revenues of 15.4 million a year) while maintaining additional jobs, such as training manager, research and development coordinator, commercial-shoot assistant, real estate marketer (franchise units), and web-base training developer.

Upon learning that preaching was the ability to be used to the fullest, Brad left Krystal's and went to work at Hardee's as an Area Manager for about six months. After leaving Hardee's, with influence of preachers, Gary Williams (Tupelo, MS) and Jeff Archey (Cleveland, TN), he went to the Memphis School of Preaching (under the directorship of Curtis A. Cates and Bobby Liddell); Brad received his bachelor's in Biblical studies while there. Furthering his education, he attended Theological University of America (under the presidency of James Benton) and added the bachelor's in ministry, masters in religious education, as well as, the doctorate in ministry.

Brad has many things he enjoys. He loves the "Lord's Church," studying, reading, exercising, basketball, children and young people, and spending time with his wife and children. In addition, Brad enjoys spending time with his church family, especially having them in his home; and he loves spending time learning new skills and knowledge. Brad is also the author of the book entitled "I Am Paul, the Soldier" found at www.bradtate.com. Brad's favorite books of the Bible are Job (OT) and Romans (NT). His favorite passages are (Acts 22:16, 1 Pet. 3:21; Phi. 4:13, 19; Rom. 1:16; Dan. 2:28; and Job 19:25).

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

I am so elated at the opportunity afforded me to come and be your servant, but most importantly a servant for our great God. Like Paul, I long to be with you, but must labor for right now where I am until the children complete their schooling. As soon as I arrive, we will begin to fight the good fight of faith. There will be so many things that I will do to help encourage and motivate all of us as well as the community. Oh yea, did I mention that I am a community person. We will impact our community so much that everyone will know about the church and they will know we are a light willing to help the world.
Are you ready for some good preaching? I hope you enjoyed the try-out, but just so you know, I was not myself completely. Christy told me the other day, "Boy, if they enjoyed your try-out, then they should really hear you because that was not a good day for you." Anyway, there is much coming your way, and I hope everyone is ready to work because that is our job... to get busy fishing for men and taking the Gospel to the lost. We love you all and looking forward to the journey.

For what matters most,
-Bradley Wayne Tate, B.A., M.A., D. Min.
