PRIVILEGED
TO SERVE LIST

IMPORTANT CHANGE!
Men scheduled to serve during morning worship please meet at least 5 minutes before services in the Teacher's Work Room.

We would like to thank you for visiting our website and extend an open invitation for you to worship God with us at your earliest connivence. To assist you in learning more about us we have assembled some information you might be interested in within this site. You'll find everything from service times and directions, to even a basic description of what to expect should you be able to visit us.

While our website can offer you a glimpse of what we are doing both within our congregation and out in our community, the best way to truly to get to know us is in person. The church of Christ at Fairview is a nondenominational church patterned after the first century church you read about in the New Testament. We are a family with diverse backgrounds but with a common bond. To worship God in both Spirit and in Truth. Together we strive to grow closer to God and to each other as we journey along together.

The church of Christ at Fairview exists to love and worship God. To bring people to Jesus Christ using the truth, which is the Gospel. We are focused on helping each other grow in faith with the knowledge and wisdom to face the temptations and trials of this world. We seek to build a strong fellowship with one another as we look for opportunities to help those that are less fortunate while striving to please God to the best of our ability.

If you are looking for a home congregation, we sincerely hope you will consider us and visit with us as our most honored guest at every opportunity you can.

Welcome new Minister... Brad Tate
November 20th, 2009
We are very happy to announce that Brad Tate has agreed to be the next minister of the Fairview Church of Christ. Brad, Christy, Jacob and Carley will be joining us around Christmas this year. The decision to hire Brad is the result of a lot of work. We had over 65 men apply to be the next minister. Thanks to Horace, Ronnie, Ed, Jackson, Mike, Garth, Tracy and Don for their hard work. They reviewed resumes and looked at DVD's and listened to CD's and provided their insight into the characteristics the minister needs to have to be successful working at Fairview. We believe that Brad and his family have the characteristics necessary to be successful here at Fairview. However, Brad will not be able to do it by himself. In order for the cause of Christ to be successful all of us will need to work together.

We hope that each of you will thank John Parker for the work he has done here to provide stability in the pulpit while we search for a minister. We're not sure if John has ever been compared to Mary Poppins before or not. But it seems like a good fit. Mary Poppins works with dysfunctional families, brings some sugar to help the medicine go down. And then once the family is functional Mary Poppins goes away to help another dysfunctional family. We appreciate John and Jill for having whatever it takes to volunteer to go through this more than once.

- PAST MESSAGES -

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

I am so elated at the opportunity afforded me to come and be your servant, but most importantly a servant for our great God. Like Paul, I long to be with you, but must labor for right now where I am until the children complete their schooling. As soon as I arrive, we will begin to fight the good fight of faith. There will be so many things that I will do to help encourage and motivate all of us as well as the community. Oh yea, did I mention that I am a community person. We will impact our community so much that everyone will know about the church and they will know we are a light willing to help the world.
Are you ready for some good preaching? I hope you enjoyed the try-out, but just so you know, I was not myself completely. Christy told me the other day, "Boy, if they enjoyed your try-out, then they should really hear you because that was not a good day for you." Anyway, there is much coming your way, and I hope everyone is ready to work because that is our job... to get busy fishing for men and taking the Gospel to the lost. We love you all and looking forward to the journey.

For what matters most,
-Bradley Wayne Tate, B.A., M.A., D. Min.
